In celebration of National Voter Registration Day 10th Anniversary, LWV-GCV is offering a Voter Registration event. NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY HISTORY The National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) established the first National Voter Registration Day on September 25, 2012. In 2014, the NASS established the Fourth Tuesday of September as the official day for National Voter Registration Day. We aim for a minimum of four volunteers per shift. If a voter registration activity must be cancelled, volunteers will be notified two days prior, or if an outdoor event must be cancelled due to bad weather, volunteers will be notified by phone on the morning of the event. There will be three Voter Registration shifts to chose from starting at 12:30pm and end at 6:00pm. Click the Volunteer button in the upper right to view and/or sign up for a shift. Note: the 1st and last shift starts and ends after the event, to provide time to set-up and tear down our supplies.
We'll be in yellow vests and work from clipboards. This is an outdoor activity. Dress for the weather for sun or rain as needed.
