Voter Registration Training (VRT) for Volunteers

Welcome to the voter registration training series developed by the League of Women Voters of Greater Chippewa Valley. The League is a nonpartisan organization, endorsing neither parties nor candidates. By offering these training modules, we fulfill one of our missions - empowering citizens to participate in the democratic process.

Anyone interested in helping others register to vote in Wisconsin is welcome to study these modules.

Please note that we require our voter outreach volunteers to be trained before working at their first LWV-GCV voter registration event.

Non-members and/or people applying this information at non-LWV-GCV events should review the policy about using our materials. See “Helpful Links” below to find this policy on our website under “Voting Tools.”

Positions taken by the League of Women Voters

Before the League of Women Voters advocates on any issue, we follow a thoughtful, process to ensure our positions are well-informed and reflect member consensus. Below are the official statements from both the national and state levels of the League, along with links to their full positions. LWV-GCV supports these positions.

League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS)
The League of Women Voters takes action on an issue only when we have a position addressing that particular issue. Members must study and come to consensus on an issue, in order to form a position. This thorough grassroots process ensures that our advocacy is well considered by a broad range of people, understood by our members, and we have a sense of the political environment.
