About this event
A Halloween celebration of Community & Civic Engagement. Join us for a free, indoor Halloween celebration where people of all ages can explore what makes a community thrive. From local government to businesses to community organizations and everyday citizens, discover how we all play a part in shaping the places we call home.
What’s happening at the Community Boo-Fest?
The LWV-GCV will offer attendees voter assistance with registration, finding their polling place, where they can go for early voting and most voting related questions. See below for information on how to volunteer.
The Community Boo Fest will also have a:
- Scavenger Hunt & Community Passport: Explore the event and connect with local resources.
- Trick-or-Treating & Activities: Interactive family-friendly activities and candy stations.
- Debate in Boo Hollow: A special live character performance and debate.
- Interactive Mock Election: Fun, civic-themed voting activity.Prizes & Refreshments: Free raffles, light bites, and boolicious drinks.
Cost: Free admission (costumes are encouraged but not required, and all ages are welcome).

LWV-GCV Member Volunteers Needed...
At this event, we are seeking four LWV-GCV volunteers. Volunteers should arrive by 5:00pm to set up the table and arrange the voting materials for the guests coming to the event. Volunteers need to have received the LWV-GCV training in order to be knowledgeable in assisting and /or registering people to vote. Information on the upcoming election will be available to all the participants. Volunteers will also help with the take down of the table and materials after the event ends.
