The Raw Deal, Menomonie
The LWV-GCV Unite and Rise Committee invites you to join us at the Raw Deal in Menomonie on October 8 between 10 AM and 6 PM. Come for an hour or two — or stay longer — and feel free to bring a friend. Look for a Unite and Rise Committee member wearing one of our big white LWV buttons.
Our League has chosen to send “VOTE NO” postcards addressing the Anti-Equity Constitutional Amendment that will appear on the November 3 ballot. Postcards will be mailed to eligible voters in Eau Claire and Menomonie. Volunteers will write a brief message and sign with first names. Message suggestions will be provided.
The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin has supplied the postcards, and our League is covering postage. Many stamps have already been donated.
You are also welcome to host your own postcard-writing party. It’s a great opportunity for socializing while advocating for equity. Because early and absentee voting begin soon, getting postcards out quickly is essential. To host a party, text Sharon Smith at 715-491-5808 with your name, party date, and the number of postcards you’ll need. We will arrange delivery before your event.
