About this event
Justice Conversation: Safeguarding Voting Rights
Come join in the conversation and learn about actions and advocacy to support disenfranchised voters, and about the amendments that are being proposed for the Wisconsin constitution that will be on our ballots on November 3.
When: Thursday, October 29, 2026
Times:
- 5:30pm-7:00pm: potluck meal with conversation
- 7:00pm-8:00pm: presentation and Q&A
Karen Voss of Chippewa Valley Votes will share information about the voting challenges faced by formerly incarcerated people and unhoused community members, and how we can help ensure they have access to the ballot.
Sharon Smith of LWV-GCV will explain what voters need to know about the three proposed Wisconsin constitutional amendments that will appear on the November 3 general election ballot.
Matt Kendziera of WI Faith Voices for Justice will discuss how congregations and members of his organization are reaching out—especially to immigrant communities—to ensure they know about the opportunity to vote.
