Fair Maps are drawn based on changes in the population after every Census. The US Constitution requires state legislatures to redraw the voting district lines for state and federal representative districts. Lines should be drawn to give equality in population and be representative of diverse populations and community interests. When the drawing of districts favor one political party over another the process is called gerrymandering.
