About 100 students will meet us in the school’s multi-purpose room for a presentation about how and why to vote, followed by individual assistance, as needed, in registering to vote. Registration methods include using MyVote.wi.gov (for those students 18 years old with required documentation) and the paper registration application (all other students). A lead volunteer will use a prepared slide presentation and short lesson (“The Arithmetic of Voting”); other volunteers will assist with greeting students, distributing forms, and answering questions. At least one staff person/school board member will be present.
Parking is available on the street across from the high school office door (enter door under the Big Buffalo). Volunteers will meet in the school office by 9:30 am; the presentation will begin at 9:45 am.
We’ll follow whatever COVID protocols the school may have in place. To be prepared or for your own comfort, please bring a face mask.
